Requirements to become a firefighter. You must be at least 18 years of age and live in the City of Garfield for at least six months. All training and equipment will be provided to you free of charge.
Fire Company 3 is the only company who provides its members with an insurance policy. The company pays for the premium, with no cost to the member, just one way of thanking our volunteers. We also are enrolled in the LOSAP program in the city which is a monetary benefit for the members of the company.
